Wellness injections designed to support general wellbeing, including Vitamin B12, B-Complex, Biotin and Vitamin C, administered following suitability checks. Wellness Injections Our wellness injections are offered as a nutritional support service for individuals looking to support their general wellbeing. All treatments are delivered following suitability checks and carried out in a safe, clinical environment. B-Complex Vitamin B-Complex contains a combination of essential B vitamins that contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and nervous system function. This option is often selected by those seeking broader nutritional support rather than a single B vitamin alone. B-12 Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin involved in normal energy metabolism, neurological function, and red blood cell formation. It is commonly chosen as part of a wellness routine by individuals looking to maintain adequate B12 levels or who prefer injectable supplementation over oral forms. Biotin (Vitamin B7) Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin involved in normal energy metabolism and the maintenance of hair and skin. It is commonly included in wellness routines focused on general nutritional support, particularly where dietary intake may be limited. Vitamin C Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that contributes to normal immune system function, collagen formation, and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It is often chosen as part of a general wellbeing routine or as an alternative to oral supplementation. Book yours and enquire today.
- Polynucleotides | Jade Alexandra Collective
Polynucleotide treatments in Durham at Jade Alexandra Collective. Natural results through careful, conservative treatment. Polynucleotide Treatments Polynucleotide treatments are advanced injectable skin therapies derived from highly purified salmon DNA, designed to support skin regeneration, repair, and overall skin quality at a cellular level. They work by stimulating natural repair processes within the skin, improving hydration, elasticity, and resilience over time. The treatment focuses on strengthening the skin rather than altering facial movement or structure. At Jade Alexandra Collective, polynucleotide treatments are delivered with careful consideration of skin condition and individual goals. Treatments are anatomy-led, evidence-based, and tailored to support skin regeneration and long-term skin health. While suitable for the majority of people, relevant health information is reviewed to ensure treatments are provided safely and appropriately. Polynucleotide treatments may be suitable for improving: Fine lines and early signs of ageing Crepey, thin, or fragile skin Loss of elasticity and firmness Dull, dehydrated, or stressed skin Under-eye skin quality concerns Skin affected by inflammation or environmental damage Polynucleotides support fibroblast activity, collagen and elastin production, and microcirculation, helping the skin to repair, strengthen, and function more effectively. The result is healthier, more resilient skin with a refreshed, natural appearance. Results develop gradually as the skin regenerates. Improvements in hydration and texture are often noticed first, with continued enhancement in skin quality over the following weeks. For optimal and longer-lasting results, a course of three treatments is commonly recommended, with maintenance sessions advised where appropriate. Results are cumulative and not immediate. This treatment is suited to those seeking regenerative improvement and long-term skin health rather than instant or dramatic change. Polynucleotide treatments are only provided where appropriate and following informed consent. Full aftercare guidance is provided to support recovery and optimal outcomes. Price Polynucleotide treatments are available. Treatment prices start from £200.00. Book Now

- Anti-Wrinkle Treatments | Jade Alexandra Collective
Anti-wrinkle treatments in Durham at Jade Alexandra Collective. Natural results through careful, conservative treatment. ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS Anti-wrinkle Treatments Anti-wrinkle treatments are prescription-only injectable procedures designed to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles responsible for dynamic lines and wrinkles. By reducing repeated muscle contraction, these treatments help soften existing lines and prevent deeper wrinkle formation over time. At Jade Alexandra Collective, anti-wrinkle treatments are carried out following a full consultation, facial assessment, and treatment review. Treatments are conservative, anatomy-led, and tailored to the individual to preserve natural expression while achieving a refreshed appearance. The results of treatment depend on the type of wrinkle being treated. There are two main categories: Static wrinkles, which are visible when the face is at rest Dynamic wrinkles, which appear with facial movement Anti-Wrinkle treatments are most effective at softening or erasing visible dynamic lines caused by muscle activity. Static wrinkles are more deeply ingrained into the skin, and the level of improvement depends on their depth, duration, and overall skin quality. Complete resolution of static lines cannot always be expected. Anti-wrinkle treatments may be used to improve the appearance of: Frown lines between the eyebrows Forehead lines Crow’s feet around the eyes Other areas where excessive muscle activity contributes to visible lines The treatment works by interrupting nerve signals to specific muscles, allowing the overlying skin to relax and smooth. Results develop gradually, typically becoming noticeable within a few days, with full effects seen around 10 to 14 days after treatment. Results are temporary and commonly last several months. Review appointments may be recommended to assess outcomes and maintain results appropriately. Anti-wrinkle treatments are only provided where suitable and following informed consent. A prescriber consultation is required in line with UK regulations. Full aftercare guidance is provided to support safe recovery and optimal outcomes. Price Anti-Wrinkle treatments are available following consultation with a prescriber. Treatment prices start from £110.00. Book Now

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a comfortable and efficient environment for all clients. JEWELLERY POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS JEWELLERY PURCHASE - Jewellery is to be purchased separately on the day of appointment and is not included in the service charge. Our most affordable jewellery starts at £25.00 JEWELLERY PURCHASE BREAKDOWN - Due to the nature of professional body jewellery, pieces are designed with interchangeable components to ensure compatibility with different styles and placements. As a result, jewellery is priced per individual component. For example: 1 x Titanium Labret (Post with fixed flat back disk) = £10.00 1 x 3mm Titanium Ball Attachment = £10.00 Total = £20.00 This allows clients to mix and match jewellery for a fully customized fit and style. JEWELLERY STANDARDS AND SAFETY POLICY - At Jade Alexandra Collective, all jewellery used is made from verifiable, high-quality materials that are suitable for human implants. To ensure we meet the highest health and safety standards, we will never fit or pierce with any jewellery that has been previously worn or sourced outside of the studio. This policy is in place to prioritize your safety and ensure a clean, hygienic procedure. JEWELLERY FITTING AND PLACEMENT POLICY - At Jade Alexandra Collective, jewellery fitting and piercing placement are 100% anatomy dependent. We reserve the right to refuse to fit jewellery or perform a piercing if the piercer determines that it is inappropriate, not suited to your individual anatomy, or unlikely to heal well. If this situation arises, the piercer will advise you on the best course of action and often offer alternative options to ensure a safe and successful piercing experience. RINGS IN FRESH PIERCINGS POLICY - We are frequently asked if we can pierce with a ring, especially small and thin ones. Unfortunately, in most, if not all cases, it is not possible to fit rings for an initial or healing piercing. For a piercing to heal correctly, it requires suitable jewellery in the correct size and shape to provide stability and support during the healing process. Petite rings can usually be fitted once the piercing is successfully healed. Certain piercings, such as a “Daith”, may be able to be done with a ring initially, but the ring must be large in gauge and diameter to ensure it is anatomically suitable for proper healing. We always prioritize your health and healing, so we recommend appropriate jewellery based on your individual anatomy. JEWELLERY & PIERCING RESPONSIBILTY POLICY We do not accept responsibility for the loss of jewellery or attachments, jewellery becoming loose or falling out, or piercings healing over. Once a client leaves the studio, it is their responsibility to ensure that jewellery attachments are securely fastened daily. Clients must also refrain from removing their jewellery while the piercing is still healing, as part of their commitment to following proper aftercare advice and protocols. Jewellery losses or any accidental/deliberate damage are not covered by manufacturers' guarantees. JEWELLERY RETURNS/EXCHANGE POLICY For health and safety, all Jewellery purchased in studio or online through our online store is strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable. - FAQ | Jade Alexandra Collective
Find answers to common questions about Jade Alexandra Collective, Durham. From bookings to jewellery and aftercare, our FAQ covers everything you need to know. Frequently asked questions. Thanks for taking the time to browse this page, hopefully we can answer any questions you may have here to make things a little more convenient and more time efficient. Do I need an appointment? Yes, you will certainly need an appointment, whether it's for a piercing, aftercare check up or to purchase and look at jewellery. Appointments can be booked easily and conveniently through the booking system on our website, or direct through the "book now" button on our Facebook page. Can I have my piercing done with a ring? In most cases, rings are not suitable for initial piercings. Fresh piercings naturally swell as part of the healing process, and rings tend to move and rotate more, which can increase irritation and prolong healing. For this reason, initial piercings are usually performed with more stable jewellery, such as a flat-back or straight post, to allow room for swelling and support a cleaner, more predictable heal. Once the piercing has fully healed and settled, jewellery can be changed to a ring where appropriate and sized correctly to your anatomy. What methods of payment do you accept? We accept cash, debit or credit card and contactless payments including apple or google pay. We also accept Clearpay, if eligible. Do you use a needle or gun for piercings? We use single-use, sterile hypodermic needles only and do not advocate the use of piercing guns. Piercing needles are designed to create a clean, precise opening with minimal tissue trauma. In contrast, piercing guns rely on blunt force to push jewellery through the tissue at speed, which can cause unnecessary damage and limits jewellery choice and sizing. Piercing guns also cannot be sterilised in a medical-grade autoclave. Wiping or disinfecting the surface of the device does not eliminate the risk of cross-contamination or the transmission of blood-borne pathogens. Do I need an anatomy consultation before booking a piercing appointment? Some piercings are not anatomically suitable for everyone. If a placement requires assessment, it is strongly advised to book an anatomy consultation before scheduling a piercing appointment. This allows for a proper evaluation and helps avoid unnecessary disappointment or wasted appointment time. An anatomy consultation is also recommended if you have had previous surgery, scarring, past trauma, or unique anatomy in the area you wish to have pierced. Please do not book a piercing appointment on the same day as an anatomy consultation. Piercing appointments should only be booked after the consultation has taken place. Any piercings requiring an anatomy consultation will be clearly indicated on the booking system. I have had a piercing done at another establishment & I have concerns, can I come in for a check up? If your piercing was not carried out by us, a troubleshooting appointment is required. This appointment carries a small fee to cover our time, assessment, and professional expertise. We are always happy to take a look and offer honest, informed advice. Aftercare check-up appointments are a routine service offered free of charge to clients who were pierced by us, as part of their original piercing package. This distinction allows us to remain fair and consistent, while continuing to provide ongoing support to our own clients. Do you offer numbing? We do not offer numbing for piercings, and we strongly advise against using any numbing products at home prior to your appointment. Topical numbing agents are medical products and carry risks, including allergic reactions, skin irritation, and vasoconstriction, the narrowing of blood vessels. Reduced blood flow is counterproductive for a new piercing, as healthy circulation is essential for delivering white blood cells and initiating the healing process. Numbing is offered for some aesthetic treatments only, and where appropriate this is limited to a regulated 5% topical cream, used under controlled conditions for the same safety considerations outlined above. How many piercings can I have done in one sitting? For safety and healing reasons, we do not recommend having more than three piercings in a single appointment, with the sole exception of up to four ear lobe piercings. We will not perform more than three cartilage, facial, or body piercings at one time, or any combination of these exceeding three. This is to ensure swelling, tenderness, and aftercare remain manageable, and to reduce the risk of complications during healing. We also recommend waiting a minimum of 12 weeks between piercing appointments. This allows the initial inflammatory phase to settle before introducing additional trauma to the body. These limits are not negotiable and cannot be waived. We always retain the right to set and uphold safe clinical boundaries on the procedures we perform. Do you offer refunds or returns? For hygiene and safety reasons, all jewellery sales are final. Body jewellery cannot be returned or exchanged once it has been fitted into a piercing. If jewellery is purchased but not fitted at your appointment, it cannot be returned or exchanged once it has left the studio. Piercing procedures are non-refundable. While you may choose to remove a piercing at any time, and we are happy to assist with safe removal, refunds cannot be offered for a service that has been correctly and professionally carried out. Please note that aesthetic treatments may require multiple visits to achieve optimal or desired results, and outcomes can vary between individuals. Do you pierce babies/infants? We do not pierce children under the age of 7. We believe it is neither ethical nor appropriate to perform cosmetic piercings on infants or very young children who are unable to understand or consent to the procedure. In addition, children are still developing anatomically, and waiting allows for safer, more accurate placement as the body grows. We will only pierce individuals who are able to give informed consent. Bodily autonomy is fully respected at every age, and no exceptions to this policy are made. Can I bring my own jewellery? We do not pierce with, or fit, jewellery that has been sourced outside of the studio. To maintain safety standards, we must work exclusively with jewellery made from verifiable, implant-grade materials. Jewellery purchased elsewhere cannot be guaranteed safe or suitable for use in the body. For the same reasons, jewellery previously purchased from the studio cannot be reused in a fresh piercing. Once jewellery has been worn, it cannot be re-sterilised to the standards required without risking contamination of our sterilisation equipment. These policies allow us to uphold strict hygiene, safety, and material integrity across all procedures. When can I change my jewellery? We do not recommend changing or removing your jewellery yourself until the piercing is fully healed. However, your piercer may be able to safely change attachments where appropriate. What prices can I expect? The service charge for a single piercing is £15–£30. This includes sterile, single-use set-up, appointment time, medical-grade sterilisation, skin preparation, and an in-store consultation. Jewellery is not included. We stock premium, implant-grade jewellery only, with prices starting from £20 and ranging upwards depending on material and design. The studio is located at street level, and services are carried out on the ground floor. However, there are two steps leading up to the front door, and the street outside is cobbled. Unfortunately, this means wheelchair users or those with limited mobility may find access difficult. We appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Where can I park? There is on-street parking directly outside the studio, subject to pay and display. There are also nearby multi-storey car parks, including Riverside and Prince Bishops. If you’re travelling by public transport, the studio is located right next to the city centre bus station on North Road. Do you sell gift certificates? Yes. We offer e-gift cards, which can be purchased and customised online via our online store. We also sell physical, eco-friendly plastic gift cards in the studio, with the option to add a premium magnetic gift box and gift bag for a more luxurious presentation or easier gifting. My piercing has closed up can I have it re-pierced? In most cases, yes. As long as there is healed, healthy tissue available, a piercing can usually be safely re-pierced. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for piercings that close over. If a piercing has closed, the procedure will be charged as a new piercing. Re-piercing is not discounted. It is the responsibility of the piercee to ensure jewellery and attachments remain secure and in place. Even fully healed piercings should continue to have jewellery installed to prevent closure. Who can bring a child for a piercing? For any piercing on a child under the age of 16, consent must be given in person by a parent or legal guardian. This is a legal requirement, not just studio policy. We cannot accept consent from grandparents, siblings, extended family members, family friends, or third parties. Handwritten notes, phone calls, or messages are not sufficient. If the accompanying adult is not the child’s parent or legal guardian, we will be unable to proceed with the piercing. We understand this can be frustrating, but these safeguards exist to protect your child and ensure legal and ethical compliance. What do I need to bring? Please bring: Photo ID for the parent or legal guardian Proof of the child’s age, such as a passport, birth certificate, or official document showing their name and date of birth Are aesthetic treatments suitable for everyone? Not always. Suitability depends on medical history, skin condition, medications, and treatment goals. If a treatment is not appropriate, we will advise accordingly. Safety always comes first. How do prescription-only treatments work? Some aesthetic treatments are prescription-only and require an assessment by a qualified prescriber. These treatments cannot be carried out without prior approval and a valid prescription. Prescriber clinics are held periodically and dates will be announced in advance. Once a prescription has been issued, treatment can be booked accordingly. Treatments that require a prescription will be clearly indicated on the booking system. Do I need ID? Yes. Valid photo ID is required for all services. Accepted forms include a passport, driving licence, or official photo ID displaying a PASS hologram. Appointments cannot proceed without valid ID. If ID is not provided, the appointment will be cancelled and the booking fee forfeited. Can I combine aesthetic treatments with piercings? This depends on the treatment and area involved. We may advise spacing appointments to allow proper healing and reduce risk. How many treatments will I need? Some treatments require a course of sessions to achieve optimal results. This will be discussed during consultation, as results vary between individuals. Are results guaranteed? No piercing or aesthetic treatment can be guaranteed. Results vary between individuals and depend on factors such as tissue response, skin quality, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare.

- Prior to appointment | Jade Alexandra Collective
Prepare for your visit to Jade Alexandra Collective, Durham. Read our before-appointment guide covering studio etiquette, preparation, and client care. PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT SOME HELPFUL THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE ATTENDING YOUR APPOINTMENT HAIR If you have long hair, please ensure it is securely tied back before your appointment. This is especially important for facial treatments and piercings, as loose hair can interfere with the procedure and contaminate freshly prepared skin. FOOD & HYDRATION Please ensure you have eaten within the last four hours and are well hydrated before attending your appointment. Low blood sugar can cause light-headedness or fainting during treatments. If you have felt faint during procedures in the past, bringing a small sugary snack is advised. TIMING & HOLIDAYS Consider any upcoming holidays, travel, or events before booking. If your plans may interfere with proper aftercare such as swimming, extended travel, or limited access to cleaning facilities, it may be best to postpone your appointment until afterwards. LIFESTYLE CONSIDERATIONS Your lifestyle can impact healing and treatment outcomes. Before booking, consider whether you: Swim regularly, take part in contact or high-impact sports, wear helmets, face coverings, stethoscopes, or uniforms that apply pressure to the treatment area If any of these apply, we recommend delaying your appointment or booking a consultation first. This allows us to assess anatomy, discuss your lifestyle, and ensure the safest, most appropriate approach before proceeding. STUDIO ETIQUETTE We want every client’s experience to be safe, comfortable, and respectful. To maintain a clean, clinical environment for everyone, please observe the following guidelines while in the studio. At the Desk or Waiting Area Please avoid handling piercings, treated areas, or jewellery, including healed piercings. Touching the ears, face, or jewellery can transfer bacteria to shared surfaces, increasing the risk of contamination for staff and other clients. If you bring previously worn jewellery, ensure it is kept in a sealed bag or container. Used jewellery must never be placed directly on the desk or counter. In the Restroom Please do not handle piercings, jewellery, or treated areas in the restroom. Jewellery insertion or removal must not take place in the restroom or any communal area of the studio. If you would like jewellery changed or checked, this must be carried out by studio staff in the treatment room under appropriate conditions. In the Treatment Room Please switch off your mobile phone on entry. Before placing any personal belongings down, ask your practitioner where they should be stored. Avoid touching fresh piercings or recently treated areas. These are considered open or vulnerable sites, and unnecessary contact increases the risk of infection. Photography, video recording, or camera flashes are not permitted during procedures, as they can distract the practitioner and compromise safety. You are welcome to take photos after your treatment has been completed, with the practitioner’s consent. Please do not photograph staff without prior permission.

Everything is sterilised after first being cleaned thoroughly in designated ultrasonic cleaning machines. Sterilised Jewellery and equipment are stored in sealed pouches or are transported into the procedure room via portable tray directly from our autoclaves. Piercing consumables and procedure technique We use some of the highest quality hypodermic needles available to the industry, made specifically for piercing which is single-use and discarded of immediately after piercing. We use a disposable set-up, with no expense spared - meaning all other procedure consumables, such as gauze, skin marking implements, dressings, cotton swabs and topical skin prep packs such as chlorhexidine, iodine and saline swabs are all completely sterile and single-use. Piercings are performed using an aseptic technique, meaning we do not touch anything that is outside of the sterile field and have implemented things such as a no-touch bin, hydraulic foot-operated bed, hands-free wash basins and sterilisers uniquely equipped with portable tray so asepsis can be maintained throughout. The studio is equipped with UV sterilisers on every floor. Our piercing procedure room has the added benefit of HEPA air filtration, as does our dedicated sterilization and processing room. Ensuring our facilities provide the safest and cleanest possible environment to be pierced in.
